As our IT Trainer, you’ll play a key role in empowering colleagues across the organisation to confidently use the systems and applications that underpin exceptional care. You’ll deliver engaging in‑person and virtual training across the UK, ensuring every learner receives a high‑quality experience. With a focus on both software and user device training, you’ll help colleagues succeed by making complex information accessible, practical and memorable.
Location: UK‑wide travel with some home working
Salary: Up to £35,000 per year
What you’ll do
- Deliver classroom‑based and remote training on software, hardware and user devices to colleagues across the UK.
- Create, update and manage engaging training materials and eLearning content for our LMS.
- Conduct learner assessments to ensure training is effective and knowledge is retained.
- Provide a seamless training experience from invitation to post‑session feedback.
- Build positive relationships with local sites and ensure training environments are set up for success.
- Represent Helping Hands professionally, demonstrating our culture, methodology and systems to colleagues at all levels.
- Support the ongoing improvement of learning content, structure and delivery style.
- Ensure colleagues are confident and competent in using the systems required for their roles.
What you’ll bring
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your training style to different audiences and learning styles.
- High levels of organisation, reliability and attention to detail.
- A positive, motivating approach to teaching others and supporting their success.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while travelling and working remotely.
- Confidence engaging with colleagues, managers and support teams to shape training delivery.
- Passion for technology and a desire to continuously develop your IT knowledge and training capability.
Desirable
- Experience designing, creating and editing eLearning content (e.g. Adobe Captivate).
- Experience delivering training in a fast‑paced, multi‑site organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in managing training delivery across diverse remote locations.
