As our Billing Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring customers are billed accurately, efficiently and on time. Your work will directly support high‑quality customer experiences, help reduce billing errors, and contribute to timely payments. Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Finance and Customer Services, you’ll handle queries, spot anomalies, and help maintain strong financial controls—all while keeping accuracy and customer care at the heart of everything you do.

Location: Support Office (Alcester), Hybrid
Salary: Up to £28,000 per year 

This is a fixed term contract for 9 months 

What you’ll do

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing to support a brilliant customer experience.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to billing enquiries from internal teams and customers.
  • Work closely with operational colleagues to understand customer needs, resolve anomalies and support billing audits.
  • Collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations and Customer Service teams to resolve queries and minimise delays.
  • Follow departmental policies, audit requirements and financial controls to ensure compliance.
  • Identify recurring issues or process gaps and suggest improvements that prevent errors.
  • Handle customer financial and personal data with the highest levels of confidentiality, accuracy and integrity.
  • Contribute to reducing aged debt by supporting timely resolution of billing queries.
  • Monitor and flag trends or discrepancies that may impact revenue, margin or customer profitability.

Desirable

  • Experience in a high‑volume or complex billing environment.
  • Experience within a regulated or compliance‑driven industry.
  • Experience improving billing accuracy or reducing disputes.
  • Exposure to financial audits or reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 or Access People Planner.
  • Experience dealing with funders such as Local Authorities or the NHS.
