As a Respite Carer, you’ll provide personalised support, including personal care, mobility assistance, household tasks, and companionship, allowing customers to stay comfortably in their own homes. These placements can vary in length, from a minimum of 5 days up to 4 weeks, depending on the customer’s needs. This role would suit someone looking for shorter term placements, giving you the flexibility you need around your lifestyle.
Who You Are
To be a Respite Carer you will need to be adaptable, personable, and happy to put others first as you enable our customers to live life to the full. You'll also need to meet the following requirements:
- Compassionate, patient, and experienced in care
- Skilled in administering medication
- Adaptable, organised, and tech-savvy
- Willing to travel across the UK
- Comfortable with pets and cooking
Please Note: To be eligible for this role you must have the right to work in the UK
What You’ll Do
You’ll live with a customer in their home during your placements, with time off at agreed intervals and your own private bedroom. Key duties include:
- Assist with personal care and mobility
- Oversee medication
- Run errands and provide companionship
- Housekeeping and meal preparation
