As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and optimising the data transformation layer that powers self-serve analytics and advanced data products. Working closely with analysts and data scientists, you’ll ensure data is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose—supporting Helping Hands’ mission to deliver exceptional care services at home.

Salary : Up to £55,000 per year 

What you’ll do

  • Design and maintain modular, scalable dbt models aligned to business logic.
  • Develop and optimise ELT pipelines using Matillion, Snowflake, dbt and GitHub.
  • Apply dimensional modelling standards for clarity and consistency.
  • Implement testing, documentation, CI/CD processes and data quality frameworks.
  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to deliver analytics-ready datasets.
  • Monitor pipeline health and resolve data issues proactively.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
  • Proficiency in dbt and SQL, with experience in testing and documentation.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and schema design.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices.
  • Proven experience building and optimising pipelines at scale.
  • Experience with ETL or ELT pipelines 
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

Desirable:

  • Experience with modern data stack technologies (dbt, Snowflake, Matillion).
  • Awareness of data governance and quality frameworks.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, social care or retail industries.
