UX/UI Designer/Developer

The role

Helping Hands has been established for over 30 years and throughout that time period the digital element of our marketing campaign has become increasingly more vital to the success of the company. To contribute to and exceed upon future growth targets we are now recruiting for a UX/UI Designer/Developer.

The main aim of the UX Developer will be to accelerate our digital performance by improving the UX/Customer journey across our website. You will also be involved with designing reusable layouts, UI/UX, developing UI mock-ups and prototypes, and building and running tests to optimise conversion rate.

Main responsibilities

  • Maintain the in house UX & Conversion function within Helping Hands, helping to select tools/partners & outlining process.
  • Driving optimisation across lead gen for care services online and driving the careers/recruitment areas of the website for new applications.
  • Managing end-to-end optimisation testing process, including prioritisation, requirements gathering, test implementation, measurement, and next-step recommendations.
  • Create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups.
  • Create and develop tests using CRO tools such as SiteGainer or Google Optimize.
  • Working closely with the Digital Campaign and Content team to drive new landing page tests and campaigns.

Who are you

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven ability in CRO campaigns, knowledge of UX and design principles and will be passionate about problem solving. You will have a solid understanding of branding, layout, typography, and responsive mobile-first website design. You will have experience of prototyping tools and be passionate and take ownership of our component library to ensure our development teams have consistent designs. This will be backed up by a strong knowledge of semantic html/css and a good understanding of vanilla JavaScript to build and run A/B and multivariate tests that will drive our development.
